Get ready for an exciting new entertainment experience coming to Clarkson this April! Australia will welcome its very first Dave & Buster’s, a popular American-style sports bar and mega arcade, which has finally received the green light after over a year of planning.
This impressive 2000 square meter venue will be located just east of the Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, on the site previously occupied by The Good Guys warehouse. What can you expect? A colossal 40-foot sports screen will be at the heart of the venue, complemented by more than 30 ultra-HD screens broadcasting live sporting events. But that’s not all—prepare yourself for a massive arcade with a dedicated Win Room where fun and excitement await. To top it off, the bar will serve a menu inspired by American cuisine, specifically tailored to suit Australian palates.
NightOwl Entertainment, a well-known hospitality and entertainment group based in Western Australia, is behind this ambitious project. They are already renowned for their popular destinations like The Lookout in Scarborough and Flight Club, a social darts venue, along with Print Hall. NightOwl's CEO, David Heaton, expressed high hopes for the new venue, anticipating it will become a key entertainment hub for the northern suburbs of Perth.
"This venue is truly next level, and we can’t wait to open the doors and show Perth what we’ve been working on,” Heaton stated enthusiastically. "Clarkson gives us the space to do this properly, from the scale of the screens to the energy of the arcade and the quality of the food."
As for the menu, expect a variety of American favorites such as burgers, wings, sliders, and share plates. However, these dishes will be updated using Australian ingredients and flavors, ensuring a unique twist. The drink selection will feature signature cocktails, refreshing pints, mocktails, and enticing happy hour specials to keep the good times rolling.
The project received State planning approval in February 2025, albeit with certain conditions attached. Once opened, the venue can accommodate up to 800 guests and will operate from 11 AM to midnight Sunday through Thursday, extending to 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
This announcement follows the news from June 2023 that Dave & Buster’s plans to establish five locations across Australia. Originating in Dallas, Texas, in 1982, Dave & Buster’s has grown to boast 170 locations worldwide, primarily in North America.
