The neighborhood group chat was reportedly lighting up with reports of chaos, including piles of litter, broken windows, smashed planters, attempted break-ins, and public urination. 'It was chaos,' one resident told the Standard. 'It was terrible.'
The lack of police presence was also noted, with officers reportedly 'just sitting there chilling.' The San Francisco Police Department said its Northern Police District Station did respond to calls on Saturday, but no further details were provided.
The event also had its fair share of incidents. Red Bull's test and reserve driver, Yuki Tsunoda, had a close call when his car caught fire during the grand finale, but he was uninjured. Another driver, Scott Speed, also had a moment of drama when his car ran into a barrier, causing it to hit the fence surrounding the crowd.
